Have Two Days of Jeans

Wednesday, I was in the mood for jeans. And a tee shirt. And flats. But I still felt like having a dressy flair to my look. So I opted for a black and white drop waist top and black and white flats. I feel like when I want to add a touch of dressiness to a casual outfit, concentrating on monochrome or black and white for my color palette, helps to keep the look more uniform. For my accessories I went for glitz and sparkles. The necklace is a strand of beads and chains with a white flower pinned to it. I like it because it stands out but also goes very nicely with my look.

Thursday was cold and rainy. And I had finally sewed the button on that jumper I just bought so I was determined to wear it. I had wanted to pair it with leggings, but it was just so wet and cold that I decided jeans would be better. With the jumper, it was a little difficult for me to figure out which shirt to layer under, but eventually I came up with this shirt. Plus the shirt matches my pink and blue sneakers. I think I'm going to have to do some more experimenting with the jumper and shirts to layer with it.

I've had this hat for a while but haven't gotten much wear out of it. I've never been too much of a hat person, but I wanted to try it out. So I saw the hat hanging and I decided to try it out with the jumper. Also, it really saved me from having to worry about what to do with my hair since it was pouring outside. One thing though, I'm not sure what kind of hat it is. Anyone know what the proper term would be for it?
