Have A Meh Kind of Day

Yes, so yesterday wasn't really my day. It started out alright enough, though I was running a bit late for class. I got a lot of drawing done in one session, even my teacher and a classmate were impressed. But then it just started going down hill from there. My car alarm kept going off because the battery is dying or loose in my keyless remote. I ended up driving home with my car alarm blasting almost the whole way (all of 7 minutes...but still!)! Plus our internet, phone & cable are down at home. Ok so the phone, I don't really care about. But the internet & TV! Ugh! Talk about boring. Most importantly, I couldn't get a post up to the blog. :(

Dress - Ross; Purple Lace Camisole - Target; Belt - Gifted; Plaid Flats - Payless
Maybe the day would have turned out better if I had known what to wear that morning. It was just one of those mornings where I had absolutely no idea what I wanted to wear, or what direction to even start in. I was simply feeling "Meh"...really I just wanted to go back to bed. But onward I had to march, so clothing was not optional. In the end I opted for an easy dress. Usually I pair this black & white rose print dress with the color red but I felt it was time to try something different. A friend just gave me this belt and I had yet to wear it, so I thought I'd go for purple as my accent color. Looking at the photos now though, I'm not sure the belt is really working with this dress. I feel like the size of it is just too much for this pattern, like my chest looks a little squished! Next time I would probably try it with just a plain black belt, a little less large in width.

By the way, not like you can notice with all the other stuff in the left corner of the photo, but you have just caught your first glimpse of my kitty cat Pearl. Well one of my cats. I actually have 6 cats total. Perhaps I will formally introduce them to you on a later date...actually, I will definitely introduce them to you. I love bragging about my cats like people brag about their kids. I try not to come off as a crazy cat person, because sometimes people are really taken aback by the number 6. But I swear, we are perfectly normal at my house! We just love cats, and rescuing them. But we have capped it at 6, for all of our sanity's sake.
