Have A Stylish Day - Outfit Mashup

Here we go again with the rain! Thursday was a wash out for sure. The news was calling for 10 inches, though I'm not sure how much we actually got. All I wanted was to wear pajamas leggings and feel comfy all day. Btw, am I the only one who misses "Spirit Week" from HS, when we could get away with wearing pajamas to school? Why does my office not have a "Spirit Week?" I'm going to have to look into that...

Drop Waist Collared Top - JCPenney; Leggings - Target; Mid-calf Cowboy Boots - Marshall's

These leggings look like jeans a little but don't have the detailing like jeggings do...so are they leggings that look like jeans or jeggings? Eh either way, they are perfect to wear on a rainy day. The top is a soft, drapey cotton jersey so I felt like I was swimming in comfort that day. The boots were definitely a must have for traipsing around campus and through puddles in the rain. The top's collar detailing strikes me as kind of western inspired, so I liked pairing it with the boots to further the western look of the outfit. What do you think?

Friday was chilly and a little misty in the morning, but luckily it was warmer and sunnier than the day before, and that's all that I needed. Also something that I needed - a lace top. In fact this very one. I saw someone wearing it a few weeks ago and instantly felt envious of not owning my own. So when I found it at Target, I did a little happy dance! :) Ok I know I didn't really need it...but I did really want it!

Le Sac Dress - American Apparel ; Lace Top - Target; Black Bow Peep Toes - Burlington Coat Factory

So, do you guys notice anything here? Come on, seriously....you see it? Ok, ok you're right, it's a trick question! I really should have asked if you notice something is missing. Like a belt perhaps? Yeah, that's right. I tried out several belts with this dress and none fit the bill. I seriously resisted just settling with one that looked "okay." I was a little worried that it might look like I was walking around in a huge sack all day and that people might not see my figure....but you know in the end I just felt like going beltless. Though I did have reason to worry about the "sack" look - the dress is "Le Sac" from AA. I wasn't sure if I should get it at first, but then I saw all  the YouTube videos on how to wear it this way or that way. I'm a sucker for convertible type clothing so I took the chance. This is my second time wearing this dress. The first time I wore it the same way but did belt it. We shall see what way I feel like wearing it next time....
